My Theory on the Meaning of Life20:06 Jul 24 2008

(This section was originally part of my profile, but I have since moved it to my journal)
One of the world's great mysteries is the meaning of life - why we are here on this earth. But I believe the answer is right in front of us.
I feel we are here to determine our eternity - not just where we will end up (Heaven or Hell), but the specifics as well. In this life, most of us will meet people whom we love and cherish, those who we will spend forever should we make it to Heaven. On the flip side, however, we also develop fears and terrors - terrors which will manifest themselves in the worst possible way should our soul be damned to Hell. And as for reincarnation, I believe this occurs when a person has not yet fulfilled what they were meant to in a previous life or lives, and they have been brought back to do so (or perhaps having multiple lives is part of the plan for their soul). I feel they will continue to be reincarnated until they complete whatever purpose it is they are chosen for.

The meaning of life, as the Beatles sing: "All you need is Love...Love is all you need". I wish I could find love....All I seem to find are jerks that use me & then toss me away...I wonder if there are truely any good guys anywhere on this planet who can love me just the way I am, me loving them isn't the issue, it's them loving me! Grrrr....

Well, from my experience..in this life...:) Life is what you make of it. It is true and evident that perhaps each soul has a destiny and a plan to fulfill in life and perhaps that fulfillment takes more than one go-round...but...I also believe that each person, whether you meet them in passing on the street or actually connect to at a deeper level, is important in the lives both directly and indirectly. Essentially, I believe each life has a cause and effect on everyone and everything they come in contact with.
Whether you can see it or not...whether you can feel it or not, you make a difference in someone's life...consider a moment that that idea is an actual "fact"...sit and ponder it for a while...perhaps life is not measured in the emotions or by what we feel or sensually percieve by sight or touch...but perhaps life is lived in the single, solitary moments when all else is suspended and the spark of what makes us alive just adds to the flow of energy, that same-self beating heart of what it is to just be alive.
We all have our place, we all have our part...the whole of us all "matters." You....Matter.
